On September 1st, 2005, AlbertaSpirit Medicine Hat marked the 100th birthday of Alberta at the Historic Clay District.

WOW what a Party !

AlbertaSpirit, a celebration of Alberta’s 100th birthday saw a total of ten communities hosting celebrations including simultaneous fireworks displays and great Alberta entertainment. The line-up of entertainment included local performers alongside some of the province’s top talents including Victor Bustamante,Tracey James, the Drew Darley Band, and Ron Mason. Massive Jumbotrons in each community linked celebrations to create a truly province wide party. Medicine Hat, Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Red Deer, Bonnyville and Wainwright were the communities hosting the celebrations.
